A Picture of Faith
To me this symbolizes faith: the dirty, worn hands, holding on lovingly to the rosary. Anyone who lives a life of faith experiences the trials this life has, but still chooses to love.
I'm a professor of Church History looking for answers to questions posed by living with faith. I accept answers wherever I can find them.
Since 1992 I have been a lay preacher, first in the Episcopal Church and now in the Roman Catholic Church. I am quickly coming to see blogging as a form of preaching. Since all good preaching invites comments and conversation, I welcome your comments to my posts.

You seem to be drawn to intense, direct expressions of faith, particularly photos that mix basic earthy humanity with iconography.
