UFOs, Space Aliens, and the Catholic Church
So, if you're Catholic and think you see a flying saucer, it's ok to talk about it. The Vatican astronomer says that believing in aliens does NOT contradict the Catholic Faith....but remember, all you faithful, you still cannot talk about the ordination of women....that subject is closed.

I cannot believe that the Church I choose to be a part of is so oblivious to their un-Christ-like behavior in regards to women's ordination. The Church is alienating half of the Catholic population with it's archaic rules. All I can do is pray that a UFO will land on the Vatican with a message of inclusion.
Thanks for the comment. My question back to you is how do you define "the Church?" I don't think "the Church" at large is oblivious...instead, I think members of the hierarchical leadership have chosen and are repeatedly trying to implement a policy that leaves women out of the official leadership offices which are part of the institutional church. But "the Church"? We're the Church...so our voices and actions are part of what makes up this mystical body. So, what is it we decide to say and do? Leave it to the Space Aliens? Or....?
Thanks again for the comment...all comments, critiques, and questions further the dicussion (and make Church what it is!)
peace to you.
